Justin Smith, President and COO

Justin Smith currently serves as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Brite. He has over 25 years of sales and marketing experience and previously worked for Xerox Corporation before purchasing and joining Brite in 1999 with his father, John. He originally joined as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 1999 and became President and COO in January 2004. Justin is responsible for the overall strategic and tactical operations of the company’s core computing infrastructure, data and network security, and managed IT services businesses.

With more than 20 years of industry experience, Trevor Smith is executive vice president of Brite. Trevor’s main responsibilities include management of the sales teams, marketing efforts and building upon the strategic partner relationships. Changing with the industry, Trevor has helped evolve Brite from a Whitebox manufacturer to a technology thought leader. While at Brite, Trevor has worked with numerous entities throughout the country to help design, recommend and implement essential information technology solutions and services.
Jackie Kramer, Controller

Jackie has been with Brite for over 10 years, having worked her way up to the Controller position through hard work and dedication. As a CPA and a key member of the leadership team, she manages the company’s budget, prepares financial reports, and implements internal controls. She has also improved efficiencies in Brite’s Enterprise Resource Planning system. With extensive experience in accounting and finance across the technology sector, Jackie provides strategic financial direction that supports Brite’s ongoing success.
Jon-Michael Lacek, Chief Technical Officer

With a passion for cybersecurity, Jon-Michael Lacek has spent the majority of his 20-year IT career focused on building and maturing the cybersecurity culture in each of the roles he has held throughout that time. As a graduate of the SANS Institute, with a master’s in cybersecurity, he continually remains up to date in the fast-paced world of technology by leveraging the outstanding network of individuals he connected with during that program. Jon-Michael knows that securing an organization is multi-faceted and is a continual evolution that can’t be achieved by one individual. He takes pride in the team that he has helped build and support, helping to pave way for future experts in the cybersecurity field.

Throughout his career he has worked at companies such as Avaya, Oracle, and Microsoft where he gained experience working with companies of all sizes. The exposure has provided Kevin with the unique ability to understand how IT issues affect different sized companies in varying ways. This skill has proved invaluable while matching organizations with solutions for their IT and security needs.
Lindsey Cooksey, Sales Director – Public Safety Team

Lindsey Cooksey has more than 18 years of experience consulting with law enforcement agencies of all sizes across the country and delivering solutions to meet both their immediate and long-term needs. Lindsey has an in-depth understanding of numerous public safety technologies that address mission critical needs in the vehicle, in the field, in real-time crime centers, and at Headquarters. Lindsey has been featured in Getac’s ‘She Shows the Way’ Campaign recognizing strong women in the industry and is passionate about empowering 1st responders. She has a unique understanding of the collaboration of public safety systems to deliver the fastest and most effective response from law enforcement to support communities.
Steve Wilmarth, Sales Director – Managed Services Team

With 20+ years of sales leadership and operational experience, Steve Wilmarth is Brite’s Director of Managed Services. In this role, Steve oversees all selling and account management responsibilities for our BriteStar Managed IT Services and BriteProtect Managed Security Services lines of business. Steve works closely with Service Delivery, Customer Success, and Technical Leadership to ensure alignment in our mission to “show up” every day to help organizations simplify, manage, and control their complex IT challenges.
